Wolverine Lake, Michigan is a small village within Commerce Township. The most recent census indicates a population of just over 4,300. The village is only 1.6 square miles, a quarter of which is Wolverine Lake itself. The village is probably best known for its annual Tiki Night, July 3rd. The perimeter of the lake is lined in tiki torches and fireworks are lit from the center of the lake. The event draws nearly 10,000 people.
All of Wolverine Lake students attend Walled Lake schools. All high school aged students will go to Walled Lake Central, while middle and elementary each have two options depending on zoning.
Wolverine Lake does have its own police department, however they share services with Walled Lake and Oakland County who has a substation minutes from the village. Commerce Township fire department covers Wolverine Lake.
