There is a ton to do in Farmington Hills for the outdoor lover! With 9 parks all hosting assorted events, family’s and individuals alike can all find some recreation. The most popular park of the city, Heritage Park, is 211 acres with 4.5 miles of trails. Perfect for hiking, nature, and in the winter cross country skiing. Many Farmington Hills city events are held here at heritage park, and residents can also use the picture area complete with play structures and grills on a first come first serve basis. Farmington Hills offices are located on the southwest corner of Orchard Lake & 11 Mile Roads. They have their own Police Department which has won many awards in the State of Michigan. The department employees 104 sword officers, 46 civilians, and 14 volunteers. Farmington Hills also has its own fire department consisting of five stations, one which is fully operations 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
